Just blocks from the citadel national historic site and the harbor's seawall, the Delta Halifax stands in downtown Halifax, nova scotia (canada). Due to its location on the atlantic coast as one of canada's largest no-ice harbors, the city played an important role in canada's development. Just one mile down the harbor, pier 21 and union station served as a welcome "gateway to canada" for thousands of immigrants, evacuees and soldiers returning from world war ii. The area is now a national historic site and museum.
The Delta continues the tradition of welcoming visitors to Halifax with open arms. Doormen and valets greet guests under a large portico. A concierge is available to assist with requests, and the hotel front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. The Delta Halifax is connected via indoor walkway to its sister property, the Delta barrington, with easy access to casino nova scotia, shopping and business towers. The property offers an indoor pool and spa tub. The on-site restaurant, the crown bistro, serves fine seafood cuisine.
