Housed in a 14th century merchant's property, the Viru Inn is a boutique Hotel located 200 metres from tallinn old town hall and square. The 15 guestrooms are traditionally decorated with patterned fabrics and antique furnishing. Amenities include complimentary internet connections, flatscreen satellite televisions, direct-dial phones, minibars, safes and bathroom with bathrobes, slippers and hair dryers.
The Hotel offers three dining options: the informal café al sole combines modern and traditional decor and serves a range of snacks including salads and pastries with windows facing tallinn's old town, the restaurant al sole serves a wide range of mediterranean dishes in a relaxed setting and the al sole pizza restaurant offers a selection of pizzas in an intimate setting overlooking the courtyard. After breakfast, guests can browse the complimentary newspapers in the Hotel lobby, surf the web via the Hotel's complimentary internet access facilities and relax in the jetted tub and sauna. Those on business will benefit from the Hotel's meeting room and guests can round off the day with a drink in the Hotel's wine cellar. Parking is available near to the Hotel (for a fee) and further practical amenities include a 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities and a multilingual concierge service on hand to offer sightseeing assistance. The estonian national opera, st catherine's passage with its craft workshops and Viru shopping centre are all within 300 metres, dominican monastery and st olav's church are within 500 metres and toompea castle is one kilometre away. Tallinn airport is five kilometres away and takes approximately ten minutes to reach by car.
