location. the opulent Le Meurice hotel is located in the centre of paris, france, across the street from the tuileries gardens, the louvre museum and the musee d'orsay. The hotel is two blocks from place vendome and 800 metres from the avenue des champs-elysees.
hotel features. the lobby in the fashionable Le Meurice hotel has a view of the glass ceiling in the winter garden. Discreet concierge staff can provide information on paris attractions, and there is a currency exchange and safe at reception. Wireless internet access is available in public areas.

Restaurant Le Meurice offers classic french cuisine and is decorated in a louis xvi style with antique mirrors and a ceiling fresco of a blue sky with angels. Breakfast, afternoon tea and light meals are served in Le jardin d'hiver, a tearoom with an art nouveau-style glass roof. There is live music in the evenings. Bar fontainebleau has a private club atmosphere, with Leather chesterfield-style chairs, art works and dark wood decor. Cocktails, fine wines and light snacks are served. Room service is available 24 hours a day.

Le Meurice hotel provides laptops and faxes for use in guestrooms. Four elegant salons are available for meetings.

renovation notice:
Due to renovation works at the hotel the main entrance will be closed from the 5th to the 11th december 2007 and from the 20th july to the 28th august 2008. The temporary entrance will be 15 rue de mont thabor instead of 228 rue de rivoli.

Getting There. Rer Line B Trains Run From The Airport To Central Paris. Line B3 (Roissyrail) Departs From Terminal 2 And Runs To Denfert-Rochereau, St Michel, Chatelet Les Halles, And Gare Du Nord. Single Tickets Cost 7.85 Eur And Journey Time Is About 25 Minutes. Roissybus Shuttles Run From All Three Terminals To Place De L'Opera. Buses Depart Every 15 Minutes, And Single Tickets Cost About 8 Eur. Air France Shuttles Stop At The Arc De Triomphe. Prices Are All Subject To Change.

Getting Around. The Hotel Is Located On Rue De Rivoli, Opposite The Tuileries Gardens. Paris Is Easy To Explore On Foot, And There Is A Reliable, Cheap Metro (Underground), Which Runs Throughout The City And The Suburbs. Buses Are A Great Way To See The City's Sights. Tickets Can Be Purchased From Bus Drivers Or From The Machines In Metro Stations. Regional Rer Trains Run To Destinations In The Surrounding Area. Taxis Are Available In The Streets, But Can Be Hard To Find At Busy Times. Advance Booking Is Recommended. Valet Parking Is Available.

Take The Highway Towards Paris Centre.
On The Peripherique (Ring Road), Take The Exit For Porte Maillot.
Take Avenue De La Grande Armee, Which Leads On To The Champs Elysees After The Arc De Triomphe.
Continue Until The Place De La Concorde.
Turn Left Onto Rue Royale, And Make An Immediate Right On Rue St-Honore.
Turn Right At Rue St-Roch, And Again Right Onto The One Way Rue De Rivoli.
Proceed To The Hotel.
