Getting there. RER line B trains run from the airport to central Paris. Line B3 (Roissyrail) departs from Terminal 2 and runs to Denfert Rochereau, St Michel, Chatelet les Halles and Gare du Nord. Single tickets cost 7.85 EUR and journey time is about 25 minutes. Roissybus shuttles run from all three terminals to Place de l'Opera. Buses depart every 15 minutes, and single tickets cost about 8 EUR. Air France shuttles stop at the Arc de Triomphe. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is on Place Andre Malraux, opposite the Louvre. Paris is easy to explore on foot, and there is a reliable, cheap metro (underground), which runs throughout the city and the suburbs. Buses are a great way to see the city's sights. Tickets can be purchased from bus drivers or from the machines in metro stations. Regional RER trains run to destinations in the surrounding area. Taxis are available in the streets, but can be hard to find at busy times. Advance booking is recommended.
Driving directions. From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport:
Take the A1 motorway to Porte de la Chapelle.
Then take the outer ring road to Porte de Saint Ouen.
Once you have left the ring road, follow Avenue Saint Ouen and get onto Rue Amsterdam.
Go past St Lazare Station and take Rue de Havre then Rue Tronchet as far as Place de la Madeleine.
Go straight ahead on Rue Royale, then take the second street on the left, Rue St Honore, leading to Place Andre Malraux.
