Location. Mama Shelter is located in the historic Saint Blaise district of central Paris, France. The Parisian temple La Fleche d'Or is situated across the street and Gambetta metro station is 600 metres away. Le Sacre Coeur is four kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Designed to offer an eclectic ambiance, Mama Shelter offers casual common areas where guests can use the hotel's complimentary wireless Internet access. Complimentary newspapers are available to read in the lobby or the onsite coffee shop. Parking is available for a surcharge. The hotel hosts live concerts, cabaret shows, forums, and lectures with poets, politicians, and scholars.

Authentic French dishes are served in the restaurant. A Chic Chic' bar and lounge and an Island bar offer a selection of cocktails. There is a French brasserie and a terrace where guests can relax. Breakfast is served each morning for a surcharge.

From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG):
Distance to Mama Shelter is 25 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.

Getting there. RER line B3 trains run from the airport to central Paris' Gare du Nord. Single tickets cost 7.85 EUR and journey time is about 25 minutes. From Gare du Nord, take metro line 5 in the direction of Place d'Otalie, getting off at Republique. Then transfer to metro line 3 in the direction of Gallieni and get off at Gambetta. Buses depart every 15 minutes for central Paris, and single tickets cost about 8 EUR. For a surcharge, the hotel can organise direct airport transfers. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Paris is easy to explore on foot, and there is a reliable, cheap metro (underground), which runs throughout the city and the suburbs. Buses are a great way to see the city's sights. Tickets can be purchased from bus drivers or from the machines in Metro stations. Regional RER trains run to destinations in the surrounding area. Taxis are available in the streets, but can be hard to find at busy times. Advance booking is recommended.
