Hotel q in berlin is an ultra modern boutique Hotel located in the kurfurstendamm area of the city, 300 metres from the savignyplatz with its restaurants and bars, and one kilometre from the zoological gardens. The 77 stylish guestrooms resemble futuristic cocoons, and use materials including slate, wood, and imitation ostrich leather. Baths are adjacent to beds, and all rooms include flatscreen televisions, wireless internet, designer toiletries, bathrobes, minibars, and air conditioning. Hotel q, berlin, has a wellness area where guests can relax after breakfast. Visitors are invited to unwind in the sand room with its hot sand floors, heated loungers, calming sound effects, and aromatherapy oils. Fusing together oriental tradition and modern design, other spa facilities include a japanese washing area, massages, solariums, and a finnish sauna. Fresh thai dishes are served in the stylish lounge bar with decor in red linoleum and chrome, and atmospheric lighting effects. The lobby and bar areas are glass fronted and veiled in fabrics. Guests can enjoy late night speciality cocktails in the stylish Hotel q bar where the dark red walls are designed to provide seating in one continuous slope from ceiling to floor. The exclusive Hotel bar is for guests and selected private members only. Leather seating areas are also provided in the lobby area as the walls loop and wind to create different spaces. Here guests can connect to wireless internet to plan sightseeing activities by the fireplace, or browse through complimentary newspapers, whilst the multilingual concierge can offer advice on making the most of a trip to berlin. Bicycles are available to rent on site and can be used to explore many of the city's nearby attractions, such as the kurfurstendamm, the german equivalent of the champs Élysées, 250 metres away, and the sprawling tiergarten park, 2.5 kilometres from the Hotel. The nearest train station is at savignyplatz 300 metres away, and berlin tegel airport is 6.5 kilometres from the Hotel, approximately 15 minutes by car.
