Rocco Forte The Charles Hotel

Location. The Rocco Forte Charles Hotel is located in the centre of Munich within the Old Botanical Gardens, 1.5 kilometres from the Oktoberfest. The central train station, for metro and rail services, is 300 metres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. A contemporary hotel, with decor in browns and creams, the Charles Hotel features original paintings by 19th century artist Von Lenbach. The lobby has express check in and check out, wireless Internet access (surcharge) and a doorman, and there is valet parking in a secure garage (surcharge). The hotel's Spa and Wellness Club offers a pool, sauna, steam room, treatment rooms, and a gym.

The Charles Hotel Restaurant, Davvero, offers Italian cuisine with views over the Old Botanical Gardens, and a small bar. Children's menus are available, and the larger Lobby Bar, with its high ceiling, offers cocktails and snacks.

Various conference spaces are available, hosting up to 60 delegates. Secretarial, translation and technology helpdesk services are also offered. The ballroom caters for up to 250 people.

On site there are Pilates, yoga or aerobics classes in the gym, and the indoor pool is 15 metres long. The nearest golf course is seven kilometres from the hotel.

Guestrooms. The contemporary designed rooms are at least 40 square metres, and offer views over the city, the alps, or the gardens. All have minibars, individual climate control, interactive flatscreen televisions, sound systems, soundproof doors and windows, wireless Internet, and bathrooms with limestone vanity tops and heated floors. Some rooms have balconies or kitchenettes.

Expert Tip. The Englischer Garden was founded in 1789 and is 2.5 kilometres from the hotel. It is one of the world's largest urban public parks, and includes a lake with three islands, several beer gardens, and a Japanese tea house, hosting tea ceremonies.
