LuxeLocation. The Amalia Hotel Athens is located in Athens, Greece, next to Syntagma Square, opposite the Houses of Parliament and the National Gardens, 500 metres from the Acropolis.
Hotel Features. This tall, modern hotel was completely refurbished in 2007. The hotel provides 24 hour room service, valet parking, currency exchange and wireless Internet access in public areas. There is also a safe deposit box at the 24 hour front desk.

The Chrysalis Lobby Lounge at the Amalia Hotel Athens features contemporary decor in muted tones brightened by bold coloured furniture. It serves snacks and light dishes throughout the day in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The hotel's main restaurant is decorated in subtle shades of blue and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving Mediterranean dishes made with fresh ingredients.

Conference rooms with audio visual equipment are available to host functions.

Guestrooms. The 98 rooms over six floors feature contemporary decor in neutral tones, with soft furnishings in contrasting colours. Rooms have safes, satellite television, and high speed Internet access (surcharge). Bathrooms have hairdryers, shaving mirrors, and bathrobes.

Expert Tip. It isn't immediately obvious, but when you cross the road from the National Garden to Panathenaikos Stadium you are actually crossing a river. Once an open waterway, the Ilissos River now runs underneath the traffic. In the 18th century, young women left offerings on the river banks to ensure they got a good husband, while a statue of Venus looked on. There are plans to raise the river and put the traffic underground, but even as it is, this is a delightful place. The gardens are a beautiful green escape from the buzzing Athens streets.
