Location. The King George Palace is located in the centre of Athens, Greece. Situated on Syntagma Square, it is two kilometres from the Acropolis and the National Archaeological Museum.
Hotel Features. Set in an imposing building, the King George Palace was originally built as a small palace annexe and presidential residency. Guests can enjoy a swim in the heated indoor pool, relax with a massage or unwind in the hot tub, steam bath or sauna. The hotel's health club also features a fitness centre with personal trainers available upon request, and a beauty centre offering a range of treatments.

The hotel's seventh floor restaurant offers panoramic views of the Acropolis and serves a fusion of nouvelle cuisine and Greek delicacies in an elegant setting with lavish ornamentation and furnishings. Guests can also unwind in the cocktail bar or club lounge.

Guestrooms. The 102 air conditioned guestrooms are individually designed with sumptuous decor including raw silk and satin fabrics, period details, and antiques. The balconies offer views of the courtyard or over the city and the Acropolis, and amenities include satellite television and complimentary high speed Internet connections. Marble bathrooms include telephones, designer toiletries, bathrobes and slippers.

From Athens Airport (ATH):
Distance to King George Palace is 39 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The suburban rail line connects the airport to Athens' central station, Larissis Station. Single tickets cost 8 EUR. Additionally, Metro line 3 runs between the city centre and the airport. Six public bus routes cover Athens and Piraeus, as well as running to Athens Rafina Port. Taxis can be found in front of arrivals, Door 4, and cost about 25 EUR to the city centre. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Public transport throughout Athens is inexpensive and convenient. Services include buses, trams, trolley buses, and a metro service. Tickets should be validated at the orange machines on board or in metro stations. Taxis are also available and are reasonably priced. Visitors are advised not to drive in the city.
