Owned by bono and the edge from u2, the Clarence hotel is a boutique hotel housed in a 19th century building set in temple bar, dublin's cultural quarter, located 200 metres from ha'penny bridge. The hotel features portland stone, american white oak and italian limestone throughout the building and the 49 guestrooms are individually-decorated in crimson, royal blue, amethyst, gold or chocolate with egyptian cotton linen and shaker furniture. Modern amenities include high-speed internet ports, satellite televisions with pay movies and dvd players, cd players, direct-dial phones, minibars and safes.
Guests can choose from a variety of dining options: the tea room restaurant serves a range of traditional irish dishes with a continental influence in a chic, contemporary setting; the study, which retains many of the room's original features, serves international dishes and drinks 24-hour a day, and the octagon bar, serves lunch, dinner, drinks and cocktails underneath an octagonal-shaped dome. Guests can workout in the fully equipped fitness room and head to the therapy room for beauty treatments including facials and massages.
