Getting there. A taxi to the hotel costs around 40 EUR. Trains run to Catania Central Station, four kilometres from the hotel. Alternatively, the hotel can arrange airport transfers. The best way to get around Catania's historic centre is on foot. There is also a good bus and subway network; tickets for both are valid for 90 minutes and must be purchased beforehand from tabacchi (tobacco stands) and news kiosks. Bus passes are valid on the metro and metro tickets are valid on the AMT bus network. Taxis in Catania are yellow and must be picked up at ranks.
Driving directions. From the airport follow signs to 'Centro' 'stazion' or 'Porto'. Continue northbound for five kilometres, then turn right and follow signs to Acicastello. The hotel is signposted from Acicastello.
