Starhotels Splendido

Location. The modern Starhotel Splendido is set just off the Piazza Duca d'Aosta and faces Milan's imposing Centrale train station, from where trains and coaches run to many parts of Italy, and metros run to the city centre. Milan Linate Airport (LIN) is eight kilometres from the hotel, around 15 minutes by car.
Hotel Features. Guests leave the bustle of the Centrale Station and enter the quieter surroundings of the hotel's large marble lobby, where businesspeople browse papers on the leather sofas, surrounded by shelves full of books. Business travellers can make use of the six meeting rooms, whilst all guests can access the web via the wireless Internet service.

Guests of the Starhotel Splendido can start the day with a selection of hot and cold dishes, in the elaborate, mirror walled Rendez Vous restaurant, which also serves Italian and international dishes for dinner.

Guestrooms. The seven floor Splendido has 152 guestrooms, all of which feature modern decor and pine wood furnishings, and are lit by Murano glass wall lamps. The walls of each room are adorned with black and white images of historic Milan, along with full length mirrors. Modern amenities include satellite television and pay movies, direct dial telephones, wireless Internet, minibars, and mechanised window shutters. Tiled bathrooms come equipped with hair dryers, complimentary toiletries, and showers or bathtubs.

Expert Tip. Fashion conscious guests can take the 900 metre stroll to Corso Buenos Aires, one of Milan's main thoroughfares, which is home to numerous boutiques and stores which showcase works from world renowned designers, as well as from some younger and lesser known designers, often at the more accessible end of the price range.
