Opened in 1889, the Hotel Eden is one of rome's oldest Hotels, set on a quiet street 200 metres from via veneto, two blocks from piazza barberini and villa borghese, and one kilometre from the spanish steps. The 121 guestrooms are richly decorated with tapestry curtains and silky brocade bedspreads. All are equipped with internet connections, satellite television, minibars, and complimentary newspapers. Marble bathrooms include gilded mirrors, telephones, hair dryers, bathrobes, slippers, and complimentary toiletries.
The Hotel's bright entrance lobby features creamy marble floors, roman arches and columns, couches with colourful throw pillows and complimentary newspapers. Terrazza dell'eden, the rooftop restaurant, serves seasonal mediterranean dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, accompanied by panoramic views of the city and outdoor dining in summer. The terrazza bar, also on the sixth floor, offers a selection of cocktails and appetisers with live piano music in the evenings. The il salotto bar, centred around a large fireplace and featuring themed period decor, is open for afternoon tea. Fitness enthusiasts can work out in the gym. The multilingual 24 hour front desk staff can provide room service around the clock and arrange dry-cleaning services. Valet parking is available for guests arriving by car (surcharge). Art lovers will find villa borghese, featuring paintings by rubens, caravaggio and titian, and piazzo barberini, home of the national ancient art gallery, both two blocks from the Hotel. Those interested in more conceptual work will find the galleria civica d'arte moderna e contemporaneo 350 metres away. Fiumicino international airport is 32 kilometres from the Hotel, with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.

There Is An Express Train Service Every 30 Minutes To Rome's Termini Train Station (Journey Time 30 Minutes). A Single Ticket Costs Around 10 Eur. Taxis Are Readily Available At The Airport, But Take A Licensed Metered Taxi Only. An Airport Surcharge Is Payable. A Taxi To The City Centre Will Cost 50-60 Eur.
Driving Directions: From Fiumicino Airport, Head Towards Autostrada A1 (Highway) And Take The Settebagni Exit. Continue On Via Salaria Heading Towards The Centro (City Centre). At The End Of Via Salaria, Turn Right. After The Right Turn, Take The First Left And Again The First Right. The Villa Borghese Gardens Are On The Right. Continue On Via Pinciana. The Ancient City Walls With Two Large Arches Are On The Left. After The Traffic Light, Cross The Arch On The Right. Follow Via Di Porta Pinciana, Turn Left Following A Natural Bend Of The Street, Which Leads To The Hotel.
