Getting there. ATVO buses run every 30 minutes to Piazzale Roma in the city centre. The journey time is 20 minutes and single tickets cost 3 EUR. The ACTV number 5 bus also goes to Piazzale Roma. The number 15 bus runs between the airport and Venice Mestre train station. At Piazzale Roma, water buses (vaporetto) are available to various stops on the Grand Canal, other waterways and the lagoon across the street from the hotel. The closest Grand Canal stop is Rialto. From the dock farthest from Rialto Bridge, walk straight along the narrow Calle Bembo (which becomes Calle dei Fabbri) away from the canal. The hotel is 200 metres away on the right. From the docks closer to Rialto Bridge, turn right, walk for about 75 metres and cross the bridge to Calle Bembo. A free bus service links the airport terminal to the airport jetty; from here, regular Alilaguna boats leave for the city. Single tickets cost 10 EUR. Private water taxis are available, but are typically very expensive. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is on Calle dei Fabbri. Venice is best explored on foot or by public water buses (vaporetto). Three day passes for the public water bus cost 25 EUR and offer unlimited travel. Vaporetti also link Venice with the islands of Venice Lido, Giudecca, Murano, Burano and Torcello. Water taxis and gondolas are also available. Gondola ferries (traghetti) cross the Grand Canal and the fare is 50 cents. Drivers can leave their cars at Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto.
