The Hacienda Temozon

Location. Formerly a private estate, The Hacienda Temozon is embraced by the tranquil waters of the Caribbean and the tropical rainforests of the Yucatan in Temozon Sur, Mexico. Temozon Village stands 200 meters from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Accommodations are offered with the American breakfast plan, which includes a morning meal of eggs, toast, juice and coffee. Temozon Restaurant prepares regional and international gourmet delights. Most ingredients are organic, picked fresh from the hotel's gardens. Homemade breads are baked daily, and fresh fish are brought in from the surrounding coastal villages. Three function rooms accommodate corporate and social events. This grand, coral walled estate contains the Hol Be Spa, where a candlelit cenoté (Mayan limestone pool) is secluded within a natural rock setting. Pristine massage beds bestrewn with flower petals, and professionally applied, indigenous spa products provide the elements for a memorable spa experience. Quiet courtyards surround a 17th century church. The estate's stockyard was transformed into an illuminated tennis court, and a beautifully landscaped outdoor pool is bordered by palm trees, pillars and chaise lounges. A fitness room accommodates exercise regimens while a laundry facility and car rental service provide on site convenience.

Guestrooms. This hotel features 28 guestrooms and suites with soaring, exposed beam ceilings and intimate sitting niches. Massive iron beds, Mexican lace bed skirts and dark, tropical hardwood cabinets reflect the colonial history of the Yucatan. Accommodations feature patterned marble tile floors and 10 foot wooden double doors that lead to terraces with private plunge pools. Expert Tip. Located 69 kilometers from the hotel, the Loltun Caverns are part of the most extensive cave system in the Yucatan. Guided tours are conducted through a portion of this system, where petroglyphs, and mammoth and bison remains have been unearthed.
