Design focused and youth orientated, boutique-style Hotel v occupies a renovated, early 20th century building in central amsterdam's trendy 'de pijp' district. Style and simplicity are key in the 24 guestrooms, where minimal, contemporary furniture and stark white walls and bed linens are offset by fresh cut flowers and bold, original artworks. All rooms have private shower rooms, televisions and telephones. Guests are welcomed to their room with candy on their pillows.
Cowhide stools and white leather benches set the tone in the lounge bar, where guests and locals alike can enjoy buffet breakfasts each morning and drinks throughout the day. The peaceful patio garden provides a private oasis of calm in the centre of the bustling city. Guests can surf the web for free or just relax with the paper or a magazine in front of the open fire while enjoying chilled-out music in the lobby lounge. The front desk is open round the clock and on-street pay parking is available nearby. Fashionable boutiques, bars and restaurants aplenty can be found in the Hotel's immediate vicinity. The rai congress centre and the albert cijp market are within two kilometres and ajax football stadium is three kilometres away. The majority of amsterdam's many museums and sights are easily reached either on foot, by bike or public transport from the Hotel. Schiphol airport is 15 kilometres and about a 20 minute drive away. Direct trains run between the airport and rai station, from where the number 4 tram runs to victorieplein.
