Distance to Hotel 717 is 20 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.
Getting there. A railway station is located under Schiphol Plaza, in the central hall of the terminal. Every 15 minutes a direct train runs to Amsterdam Central Station, which is three kilometres from the hotel. From here tram numbers 1, 2 and 5 run to stop Prinsengracht. Shared Schiphol Travel taxis can be found outside the arrivals hall. The cars can seat up to eight people and cost around 19 EUR per person. Private taxis into Amsterdam city centre cost approximately 40 EUR and 50 EUR to the hotel. Public buses frequently run to Amsterdam and other destinations. Buses 197 and 370 go to central Amsterdam and Amsterdam Zuid. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Amsterdam can easily be explored by foot. However, there are convenient bus, tram and metro services running through the city and outside areas. Cycling is also a popular way to see Amsterdam. There are taxi ranks at the central station. Driving within the canal ring is discouraged.
Driving directions. From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport:
Follow the A4 towards Amsterdam.
Take the A10 west towards Centrum/Zaanstad/ Leeuwarden.
Take the exit S106 marked Osdorp/Overtoomse Veld and at the traffic lights, turn right towards Centrum.
Continue straight on until continuing over a bridge.
At the first set of traffic lights, turn left.
Continue along Overtoom until it ends in a T junction, where you should turn right.
Get into the left lane and continue driving, past the Park Hotel, until the first set of traffic lights.
Turn left onto Spiegelgracht.
Continue driving over a bridge and take a left turn onto Prinsengracht.
