The Wildlife Express Train transports Guests of all ages between the Harambe, Africa and Rafiki's Planet Watch areas of Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.
Ride the rails aboard this rustic African train for a behind-the-scenes journey through several animal housing and care areas of Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. Travel the savannah and see where rhinos, elephants and other animals spend the night and obtain the care they need.
"Similar to the Walt Disney World Railroad in Magic Kingdom, the Wildlife Express Train gives you a behind-the-scenes view of the park. It's the only way to get to Rafiki's Planet Watch and the Affection Section, so if your little ones have their hearts set on petting the animals, sit back and enjoy the ride."
Location - Rafiki's Planet Watch
The three engines and two sets of cars belonging to the Wildlife Express line were built in 1997 only a few miles from William Shakespeare's cottage in Stratford-on-Avon by the model-railroad firm of Severn Lamb, Ltd., at Alchester, England.
