A 120-foot-long moving walkway will transport you through the frozen wonderland so you can watch the playful birds cavort both above & under, the water. Fun Facts: This icy habitat is home to four species of penguins: king, gentoo, chinstrap & rockhopper. The air is a chilly 30 degrees & the water an icy 45 degrees. 6,000 pounds of snow fall daily inside the naturalistic habitat. The habitat is reminiscent of the primitive Antarctic with its rocky cliffs & icy waters.
