Packing tips for Theme Parks

Back Pack - items to take into the Theme Parks

I'm a list maker and my Theme Park packing list is one of the most important. The Frog Family has saved so much time and money over the years by bringing all those "might-needs" with us and not getting stuck buying them inside the parks.

Here is the list of items I pack in Leap's backpack...You don't think I'm going to get stuck carrying it, do you?
  • Attraction Tickets
  • Drivers license/Photo ID
  • Cash
  • iPhone (with emergency numbers/contacts from home)
  • Power cords for phone (wall or car charger kits)
  • Camera, film and batteries, video camera
  • Extra Memory sticks
  • Ponchos (better than umbrellas due to high winds with afternoon storms)
  • Misting fan
  • Fanny Pack
  • Cooler (soft one for drinks and snacks)
  • Headache Relief
  • Anti-bacterial wipes
  • Band Aids
  • Sunscreen
  • Autograph book and fat pen (easier for characters to hold)
  • Pennies for the 'penny press' machines (did you know they tend to print on only one side and yes the new shiny coins work well too)
  • Earplugs
  • Comfortable Shoes
  • Hat/Baseball Cap
  • A souvenir Disney toy purchased in advance from your local shops. You can present them while in the park and avoid the possibility of your kids being overwhelmed and asking for the whole store while in the park. Of course you could just set their expectations and stick to it, but good luck not getting carried away.

The most important thing you can pack is your Patience!
With tens or thousands of people visiting the parks the same time as you, rest assured you will run into all sorts of personalities and a few characters - no pun intended ;)

Plan your visit...
