Cliff Bay Resort Hotel

The Cliff Bay is a modern resort hotel set in subtropical gardens on a clifftop with views over the Atlantic, two kilometres from Funchal town centre. Many of the hotel's 201 guestrooms offer impressive sea views and all have private, furnished balconies and marble bathrooms with twin washbasins, hair dryers, bathrobes, and complimentary toiletries. Other room amenities include air conditioning, minibars, cable television, coffee and tea making facilities, and safes.
The hotel has a heated indoor pool with outdoor section, as well as an outdoor pool at sea level with separate children's area, and a poolside bar overlooking the Atlantic. For a day out, the town of Funchal with its cathedral, museums, and old town, is just two kilometres from the resort, and a complimentary minibus runs from the hotel to the town centre several times a day. There is a wide choice of outdoor activities on offer, with kayaks available for rent at the resort, and a diving school on site. The complex also has a tennis court, while Palheiro Golf Club is 18 kilometres from the hotel. Funchal Airport is 20 kilometres from the hotel, approximately 25 minutes by car.
