Formerly a concert hall and tea salon, the Avenida Palace is a nine-storey hotel located on barcelona's principal thoroughfare, gran via de les corts catalanes, one block from plaza catalunya. The 151 air-conditioned guestrooms have art deco design motifs with wood wall panelling and rich fabrics. All rooms include satellite tv and wireless internet access as well as safes and minibars.
The hotel's main restaurant is el insòlit bcn and it serves mediterranean cuisine.From an a la carte menu. It has richly detailed art deco design, with classical white mouldings and walls adorned with early 19th century paintings. A multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can assist with laundry and dry cleaning services, transport, theatre and concert tickets and the storage of valuables in the hotel's safe. A men's and ladies' hair salon is located on site as well as a bookshop. The hotel has a number of rooms for conferences and social gatherings for up to 500 people. Guests are half a block from the wide pavements and elegant modernist architecture of paseo de gracia, and 200 metres from barcelona's famous promenade, las ramblas, which runs from plaza catalunya to the sea. The cathedral is 500 metres away and gaudi's unfinished masterpiece, the sagrada familia is around three kilometres from hotel. Barcelona airport is 12 kilometres away.

A Taxi From The Airport Will Cost Approximately 20 Eur. From Barcelona Airport, Take The C246 (Gran Via) In The Direction Of The City Centre. Having Passed Plaza EspañA, Continue On Towards The City Centre. The Hotel Is Located Between Rambla De Catalunya And Paseo De Gracia.
