The Duquesa De Cardona is a sixteenth century Hotel located in the centre of barcelona in the gothic quarter, only 100 meters from the cafes of las ramblas. The 44 air-conditioned guestrooms have contemporary décor in soft neutral colours with brown leather headboards, dark wooden furnishings, upholstered chairs and abstract oil paintings. All guestrooms have climate control, minibars, flat screen televisions with satellite and video channels, safes, high speed internet connections and bathrooms with Designer toiletries, bidets, plush bathrobes, slippers, tubs and showers. Sea views can be requested, as can extra beds for children.
In the restaurant la Duquesa guests can sample catalan and international dishes and wines in an intimate dining room with original 1850s features. The room has columns and arched high ceilings, long windows and tiled floors with contemporary décor and furnishings in warm colours. During the day, guests can swim in the outdoor pool on the roof terrace, or simply sunbathe with a drink from the roof terrace bar. Relaxing massage treatments are also on offer and guests can take advantage of 24-hour room service. For those with children, babysitting services are available, and multilingual staff are on hand at the 24-hour front Desk to offer help planning and booking sightseeing tours. The Hotel also offers a range of practical services such as laundry, dry cleaning and currency exchange and parking is available nearby for those arriving by car. Numerous cafes, bars and attractions, such as the picasso museum, the sagrada familia, marina and catalunya square can be found within three kilometres. Barcelona airport is approximately ten kilometres and a 15 minute drive from the Hotel. An airport shuttle to placa catalunya is available, where transfers to the metro can be found. The Hotel's nearest metro station is drassanes, on the green line, two stops from placa catalunya
