The Soho hotel is a contemporary hotel, newly opened in 2006 and housed in a striking glass-fronted property bordered by traditional spanish buildings. The hotel is situated in the centre of barcelona, 900 metres from the gothic quarter. The 51 guestrooms are located over six floors and have chic, minimalist furnishings and contemporary decor. All are equipped with lcd televisions with satellite and premium channels, wireless internet, climate control, safes, and minibars. Bathrooms are complete with telephones, hair dryers and designer toiletries.
Guests can enjoy a dip in the hotel's heated outdoor pool, which has an adjacent solarium and is situated on a terrace that affords panoramic views across barcelona. The hotel's public areas are air-conditioned and have complimentary wireless internet services, and both mobile phone and computer rental are available. Motorists will find garage parking (surcharge). Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can exchange currency, store valuables in the safe-deposit box and advise on local attractions. Las ramblas, barcelona's main thoroughfare, is one kilometre from the hotel and port olympic beach is five kilometres away. Urgell metro station is 300 metres from the hotel and barcelona airport is 12 kilometres, with an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.
