Sol MeliaLocation. The Melia Barajas is located on the outskirts of Madrid, Spain, one kilometre from Madrid Barajas Airport, two kilometres the Parque de Juan Carlos I, and five kilometres from the city centre.
Hotel Features. This modern hotel is surrounded lush gardens and features an outdoor swimming pool with furnished sun terraces and a poolside bar serving a wide choice of drinks and cocktails. Secure onsite parking is provided and the front desk is open 24 hours a day.

Breakfast services are available daily. Traditional Spanish dishes and local wines are served in the onsite restaurant, and tapas is served at the poolside grill. Drinks are served in the lounge bar accompanied by live piano music.

The business centre features 10 conference and banqueting halls accommodating up to 600 delegates.

Guestrooms. The 229 air conditioned guestrooms have traditional decor with colour coordinated fabrics, antique style furnishings, and marble bathrooms. From Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD):
Distance to Melia Barajas is 1 kilometre, approximately five minutes' drive.

Getting there. A 24 hour hotel shuttle bus provides regular airport links. Taxis are also available outside the terminals.

Getting around. The squares and narrow streets in central Madrid are best explored by foot. An extensive public bus and metro system offers a cheap and efficient way to get around the city. Single tickets can be bought from bus drivers or machines. A 10 trip Metrobus ticket, costing 6.40 EUR, is ideal for those making multiple journeys. Taxis can be hailed on the street and are reasonably priced.
