The hotel Urban is a chic design hotel located in madrid city centre, 450 metres from the puerta del sol and 800 metres from the retiro park. The 96 guestrooms are spread over seven floors and combine a contemporary decor featuring wood, leather and marble materials, with wood flooring, natural stone walls, and oriental sculptures. Flat screen tvs come with satellite channels and dvd players, and all rooms feature integrated lighting and music equipment. Wireless internet connectivity covers every room, whilst marble bathrooms come with bathrobes, complimentary toiletries, and separate tubs and shower units.
Guests can relax and take in the city views from the hotel's panoramic roof terrace, or enjoy a dip in the rooftop pool. There is also a sauna and solarium. The hotel's contemporary restaurant europa deco serves creative mediterranean dishes. Guests can enjoy drinks and cocktails in the fashionable madrileño atmosphere of the glass bar. The public spaces are filled with antiques and art and there is also a lounge and extensive wine cellar. Business guests can make use of the hotel's meeting rooms, which can hold up to 200 people, and there is also a business centre and wireless internet access. Room service is available around the clock and for those arriving by car the hotel offers secure valet parking (surcharge). Those wishing to explore madrid will find that the lively central square of puerta del sol is 450 metres from the hotel, and for art lovers madrid's big three, the prado, thyssen-bornemisza and reina sofia art museums are all within 500 metres. The nearest airport is madrid barajas, 15 kilometres from the hotel.
