The hotel stands on the Island of koh yao noi, which is surrounded by more than 40 smaller Islands. Famed james bond Island, the film location for "man with the golden gun, " is located 10 kilometers from the Resort.

The Koyao Island Resort bar serves domestic and international beers, wines and cocktails. This Resort offers high-speed internet access, and swiss, singaporean and thai staff are available on-site, including scheduling excursions to nearby Islands, arrange transportation to phuket and krabi, and answer questions regarding local lore. Babysitting services are available, and children's entertainment includes books, dvds and access to sports equipment. The Koyao spa offers indoor and outdoor treatment beds, private showers and dressing facilities. Among the massage treatments offered, nuad bolaan is a traditional thai technique that focuses mainly on deep pressure along the leg and back meridians.

gala dinners:
The hotel hosts a gala dinner on december 24 and december 31, 2007. Guests are charged for the dinners regardless of whether they attend. Fees for the dinners are collected by the hotel at check-in.
