The georgian-style Parliament House hotel is perched on a steep cobbled street in the heart of edinburgh, five minutes from the historical monuments along prince's street and one mile from edinburgh castle. The 53 guestrooms have traditional style decor with patterned fabrics and city or river views. All guestrooms include colour televisions, direct-dial phones, minibars, tea and coffee making facilities, and dial-up internet connections. Bathrooms provide hair dryers and complimentary toiletries.
Guests can relax with a warming malt whisky and a complimentary newspaper in front of the fireplace in the lounge bar. The mp's bistro is set in a bright, modern room with mediterranean influenced decor, and caters for all tastes with an international menu of hearty scottish breakfasts and candle-lit dinner options. Room service is available between certain hours, and wireless internet is available. The hotel also offers laundry and dry cleaning services. Nearby attractions include the national gallery of scotland, 800 metres away, and holyrood palace, one mile away. Edinburgh airport is seven miles from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 40 minutes. Getting there: frequent daily bus services run from the bus station adjacent to the terminal to the central edinburgh bus terminus at waverley bridge. Taxis are also available from a taxi rank adjacent to the terminal and cost approximately £18 to the hotel.
