More than 12 million people have been safely transported by the Tramway into the majestic mountains overlooking the Coachella Valley since the attraction opened in September 1963. Within the Mount San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness are 54 miles of hiking trails which should be sufficient to satisfy the appetite of the most avid outdoor enthusiast.
Trails range from the awe-inspiring five and one-half mile trek to the 10,834 foot peak of San Jacinto to the just over one mile nature walk through picturesque Long Valley, located just behind the Tram's Mountain Station. Our guided nature walks are a wonderful way to learn about the natural environment at the Top of the Tram. There is no charge for this one-of-a kind experience. Cross-country ski enthusiasts have found the State Park to be unsurpassed in its challenging terrain. You can bring your own equipment or you can rent skis, boots and poles at the Adventure Center. Ride 'n' Dine - Enjoy one of the most spectacular views in Southern California as you dine at the Top of the Tram Restaurant. After 3:00 p.m. you can purchase our Ride 'n' Dine combination ticket which includes the round trip Tram ride and dinner at the Top of the Tram Restaurant. Dinner is available from 4 p.m.
