Location. Surrounded by lakes and mountains, the Desert Springs Resort and Spa Palm Desert is located in Palm Desert, Calif. The hotel is three miles from the El Paseo shopping district and five miles from the Living Desert nature preserve.
Hotel Features. Renovated in 2007, the Desert Springs Resort and Spa Palm Desert lobby features a 60 foot bar with a cascading waterfall backdrop. This smoke free resort offers 210, 000 square feet of flexible meeting space. High speed wired and wireless Internet access is available for a fee. Recreation includes two 18 hole championship golf courses, 20 tennis courts, five pools and three spa tubs. The Spa Desert Springs offers a fitness center, separate men's and women's lockers, exercise classes, a spa shop and a salon. Spa treatments include massages, scrubs, wraps, bronzing and facials. The hotel offers eight dining options, including Lakeview Restaurant which serves comfort food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. Ristorante Tuscany is open for dinner and features seasonal cuisine from Italy's northern region. Mikado Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar features knife swirling chefs who chop, juggle and joke while preparing dinner. The poolside Oasis Bar & Grille serves light meals. Guestrooms. The 884 guestrooms of the Desert Springs Resort and Spa Desert Palm feature balconies or patios, two chair desks and dining tables, and sofas or reading chairs with ottomans. Expert Tip. Both hotel golf courses offer golf carts with state of the art navigational and computing systems. Guests can use on board computers to view graphic layouts of each hole, compute exact yardage to the pin, monitor pace of play and solicit tips from the course's pro. Lunch can be ordered using the computer system from the 18th tee and will be waiting at the Sand Trap & Wedge.
