The Raleigh Hotel

Location. The Raleigh Hotel is located in Miami Beach, Fla., in the center of the Art Deco District. Built in 1940, this hotel was designed by acclaimed architect Lawrence Murray Dixon. The hotel is located three blocks from the Miami Beach Convention Center and Lincoln Road, and four blocks from Ocean Drive.
Hotel Features. A shady lobby sports a terrazzo floor, fluted Art Deco columns, rattan seating, tall plants and a gentle fountain. An upper level lobby features chartreuse and blond wood walls, chess tables and photographs of Hollywood celebrities of yesteryear. Chez Walters serves French fusion cuisine such as shrimp ceviche, steak frites, fricassee of shellfish and other delicacies. After dark, hurricane oil lamps and hanging wicker shaded lights cast a sensual ambience over the place. Rooftop function space is available for special events and unique business meetings. Event catering, complimentary wireless Internet access and business services are provided. The 120 by 70 pool features a cascading waterfall, sprawling tropical gardens, cabanas, hammocks and a fire pit. Massages and spa services are available poolside.

Guestrooms. Guestrooms are appointed with terrazzo floors. Rooms display stereo systems, cable television, in room safes and minibars.
