location. disney's Polynesian Resort in lake buena vista, fla., is a fanciful recreation of the south seas, one mile from the magic kingdom. The property is within five miles of richard petty's driving experience, epcot and mgm studios. The Resort is across the street from a disney golf course, and a monorail offers transportation to epcot and magic kingdom. Complimentary transportation is available to all disney parks.
hotel features. the exotic foliage including gardenias, banana trees, hibiscus and orchids, grace the entrance. The lobby in the great ceremonial house showcases curved ceilings, natural stone floors and a waterfall. The on-site pool features a volcano mountain among tropical landscaping. The property includes a whirlpool, an arcade room, a picnic area and supervised children's activities. A private beach, shopping and tour assistance are also available.

'ohana restaurant hosts breakfasts with lilo and stitch, and serves a Polynesian family-style dinner with all-you-can-eat meats and seafood grilled over an open fire. The kona café is a more casual dining choice, serving american-style breakfasts and offering lunch and dinner choices with an asian flair.

guestrooms. disney's Polynesian Resort features 853 guestrooms in 11 colorful two and three-story longhouses, each named for a pacific island. Views include the hotel's gardens, pool, marina, parking area and the seven seas lagoon. Décor is Polynesian in flavor, with accents of wicker and bamboo. Amenities include wireless internet access for a fee, sofa beds and in-room safes.

expert tip. observe the rich traditions of the Polynesian culture at the spirit of aloha show, hosted at disney's Polynesian Resort. The interactive show is performed in an open-air cabana theater and includes Polynesian music, hula dancers and fire twirlers. A three-course meal includes appetizers, hawaiian-style roast pork and dessert, among other south seas favorites. This dining event sells out quickly, so be sure to purchase tickets up to six months in advance.

Guests of the Resort are eligible for complimentary disney's magical express service. Motor coaches take guests from orlando international airport to the Resort hotel. Guests of the Resort may also take advantage of complimentary transportation to and from disney theme parks, water parks and the downtown disney area.
