Kehoe House

Location. The Kehoe House is located in Savannah, Ga., adjacent to Columbia Square and two blocks from Colonial Park Cemetery. The inn is one half mile from historic Lafayette Square and City Market's shopping and dining venues. Riverfront Plaza is less than one mile away.
Features. Built in 1892, the five story Renaissance Revival Kehoe House features a grand front entrance with a sweeping staircase and a covered porch supported by elaborate Corinthian columns. High ceilings with crown molding and 18 fireplaces adorn the Kehoe House's antique furnished interiors. The inn offers complimentary cooked to order breakfasts, afternoon teas with desserts and evening wine receptions with appetizers. On Friday and Saturday evenings, a pianist provides entertainment for casual gatherings in the Music Room, which features a fireplace and parlor style sitting area. Concierge services are provided.

Guestrooms. The Kehoe House's 13 guestrooms feature ornamental fireplaces, crystal chandeliers, large windows, antique style armoires and hardwood floors accented with oriental carpets. Select accommodations offer separate sitting areas and verandas with courtyard and Columbia Square views. Private bathrooms are equipped with bathrobes, Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, and shower/tub combinations. Beds have 350 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. Other amenities include televisions with DVD players and complimentary wireless Internet access.

Expert Tip. Foundry owner William Kehoe used iron instead of traditional wood and plaster to decorate the red brick exterior. As a result, the home's architectural ornaments have endured the elements for more than a century.
