The Potawatomi zoo was founded in 1902 making it Indiana's oldest zoo.
The Potawatomi Zoo is home to over 400 animals including several rare and endangered species such as tiger, red panda, cotton-top tamarin, snow leopard, and lemurs. Many of our animals are from cold climates and are able to remain outside during the entire year. These species include tigers, snow leopard, bison, takin, red panda, crane, and Bactrian camel.
