BRIMS opened in 1994 with only 20 exhibits. Today it has nearly 50 unique hands-on exhibits for all ages.

All displays feature a "What To Do" and "What's Going On" explanation to help visitors learn and understand exhibits. Tour guides are on hand to explain displays and answer questions, however patrons are encouraged to also explore and discover on their own.
