The USS Constitution Museum brings to life the stories of the individuals who authorized, built, served on and preserved USS Constitution.
Through hands-on exhibits, displays of historic artifacts, computer simulated re-enactments, and public programming, the Museum strives to make a personal connection to our American past and the heritage of USS Constitution. The Museum is located adjacent to USS Constitution, in Building 22, Boston National Historical Park, Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston. Old Ironsides is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world. Her history is rich and colorful and 200 years strong -- from fighting Barbary pirates on the "shores of Tripoli" to winning famous victories during the War of 1812, the USS Constitution Museum brings her tale alive through its collection of 3,000 original artifacts and art work and through hands-on activities.
