Location. Located on the far south end of The Strip in Las Vegas, Nev., the Art Deco themed Luxor Hotel and Casino is connected to Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and stands adjacent to Excalibur Hotel Casino.
Hotel Features. Included in the Luxor Hotel and Casino is a 30 story pyramid, two 22 story towers cloaked in bronze glass and a 10 story sphinx. The world's most powerful light beam, with 42.3 billion candlepower, shines from atop the pyramid. This light is visible at flight level 250 miles away and from outer space. Dining venues include Champagne at Company American Bistro, and specialty coffees at three Starbucks locations. Recreation includes gaming action at the 120, 000 square foot casino. Four outdoor pools are surrounded by canopied beds and poolside cabanas. Pampering treatments are available at Nurture, the spa and health club, which serves complimentary fruit, juice and water, and offers ginger scented showers and spa tubs. Teeth whitening, Warm Buttered Stone Massage and Citrus Marine Detox are popular treatments. The limited hour fitness room features cardiovascular and weight training equipment, yoga balls and free weights. The hotel's entertainment venues feature musicians and the comedian Carrot Top. Criss Angel's Mindfreak A&E television show is filmed on property.

Guestrooms. The Luxor Hotel and Casino contains 4, 406 guestrooms with Las Vegas Strip or mountain views. Rooms contain furniture with custom made Art Deco accents and are decorated in muted khaki colors. Select rooms feature recessed lighting, armoires and jetted tubs. Complimentary Nurture toiletries and marble countertops grace each bathroom. Tech savvy updates include plasma screen televisions and Bose Wave radios in select rooms. High speed Internet access is available in guestrooms, for a fee.

Expert Tip. The Las Vegas Monorail that makes seven stops along the Strip, including the Las Vegas Convention Center, is easily accessed via elevated walkways that surround the hotel.
