The Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum is a museum in New York City located at Pier 86 on the West Side of Manhattan. The museum showcases the World War II aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, the submarine USS Growler, and a Concorde supersonic airplane. It is located in a tourist area, next to a cruise ship terminal, the Circle Line pier, and near the New York consulate of the People's Republic of China and a heliport. The Intrepid is also host to OSO Manhattan, a USMC recruiting station.
The museum serves as a hub for the annual Fleet Week events. Visiting warships dock at the cruise ship terminals to the north, and events are held on the museum grounds and the deck of the Intrepid. Source wikipedia
