Property description - the Duke Mansion was built in 1915 and listed on the national register of historic places. The rooms are family who made the Mansion their home. Mr. Duke's most lasting legacies including Duke energy, Duke university and the Duke endowment took shape while he lived in the home. A gorgeous example of colonial revival architecture, at 32, 000 square feet it is one of the largest private homes. Most rooms have queen or king sized beds, all have private baths, exquisite linens, luxurious robes. We say goodnight to you with a gourmet goodnight treat, and send you on your way with a chef prepared breakfast in the morning all included. An integral part of charlotte's most prestigious and beautiful neighborhood, and on 4 acres of beautiful grounds, the Mansion has a professional culinary staff and beautiful public rooms than can accommodate family or business celebrations of 10-300 guests.
