This is Clifton, an 19th century suburb once home to Cincinnati's social elite. Several of their elegant homes still remain. The Probasco House "Oakwood" on West Cliff Lane was built in 1863, and the McAlpin Bridal Cottage on Lafayette Ave. was built in 1888. The neighborhood now accommodates a lively business district, the University of Cincinnati, and the homes of many young professionals.
