Polar World: Wyckoff Hall of Arctic Life is one of the largest exhibits on the Canadian Inuit (formerly known as Eskimo) in North America. From their colonization of the Canadian north 4,500 years ago to the present day, this exhibit presents the story of Inuit adaptation to the challenging environment of the Arctic. The Hall of North American Wildlife features some of the continent's most amazing animals in natural habitat dioramas. The major ecosystems of North America - tundra, coniferous forest, deciduous forest, grassland, and desert - are represented along with their diverse inhabitants.
