Expert Tip. Built in 1900, the hotel building originally housed the L. Frank Saddlery Company, which was one of the most successful leather goods companies in the nation. This company produced saddles and harnesses for Teddy Roosevelt's "Rough Riders." The saddlery also outfitted the legendary Mexican revolutionaly "Pancho" Villa, as well as honoring orders from Hollywood movie stars.
