American League (AL) Wild Card Series Tickets

The Wild Card Series is the start of the Major League Baseball (MLB) Playoffs, comprised of a separate best-of-three series for each of the MLB leagues. For the postseason, teams are seeded based on their regular season records, with the two highest-seeded teams of the American League advancing straight to the American League Division Series (ALDS).

The American League (AL) Wild Card Series pits the lowest-seeded division winner (the No. 3 seed) against the lowest-seeded Wild Card team and the highest-seeded Wild Card team against the second-highest-seeded Wild Card team. The winner of each of those matchups advances to the American League Division Series (ALDS).

The Wild Card round was originally introduced in 2012 and has varied between being a single-game elimination and best-of-series. Prior to the 2023 postseason, 28 of the 30 MLB teams have made a Wild Card round appearance.
