Bobcat Stadium

Bobcat Stadium is a football stadium located in San Marcos, Texas that is home to the Texas State Bobcats Football team of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Opened in 1981, the stadium underwent a major expansion project in 2011-2012 to accommodate the fast-growing school’s population to allow for a new capacity of over 30,000. Bobcat Stadium is a multi-use facility, also housing the athletic program football operations and serving as the host of the Texas Special Olympics as well as a featured site for scenes from the movie The Ringer and the television show Friday Night Lights.
