Soldier Field, a historic landmark in Chicago, Illinois, was built in 1924 and named to honor American soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. Throughout its storied history, Soldier Field has hosted a multitude of significant events — including the 1926 Army-Navy Game, the 1932 and 1944 Republican National Conventions and Pope John Paul II's mass in 1979, attended by over a million people.
In addition to these historic gatherings, Soldier Field has welcomed legendary musical acts like Grateful Dead, U2, and the Rolling Stones, drawing crowds from around the globe. With its high seating capacity, the stadium offers an electrifying atmosphere for Bears home games — which often sell out due to the team's passionate fan base.
Soldier Field is located at 1410 S Museum Campus Drive, Chicago, Illinois. If you're driving, you can access the stadium via Lake Shore Drive (US-41) or Interstate 55 (Stevenson Expressway), with parking available onsite and in nearby lots.
For those using public transportation, several options are available. The stadium is easily accessible via the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) train system, specifically the Green Line (exit at Roosevelt Station) and the Red Line (exit at Roosevelt Station). Additionally, multiple CTA bus routes serve the area. Alternatively, the Metra Electric Line offers service to the nearby Museum Campus/18th St. Station.
Parking options around Soldier Field include the North Garage, Waldron Deck and South Parking Lot — reserved for Bears event days with season coupon parking. Other events allow cash parking and pre-purchased parking at www.SoldierFieldParking.com. Lots open four hours before Bears games or event start times, closing one hour after night events. Rates vary, so check the specific event listings for details.
Fans without season coupons can park at McCormick Place Lot B or Millennium Park Garage and take free shuttles to the stadium on game days. Shuttles operate up to two 2 hours after a game, with drop-off/pick-up at 18th St. Cash parking is also available at McCormick Place Lot C - Lakeside and 18th, though availability may be limited on game days due to shows at McCormick Place.
Rideshare drop-off for all events is located on 18th St., west of Soldier Field and Lake Shore Drive.

The stadium has different seating levels for all budgets. Lower bowl seats are close to the action, while upper levels offer panoramic views. For cheaper options, consider seats in upper corners or end zones. During Bears games, the best seats are around the 30-50-yard lines, 20 rows up. For concerts, the best views are in Sections 120, 121, 122, and 123 which face the stage head-on.
