Hornets Team Overview
The Charlotte Hornets are a professional basketball team playing in the Southeast Division of the NBA's Eastern Conference. Founded in 1988, the original Hornets played in Charlotte until 2002 before moving to New Orleans (later renamed to the New Orleans Pelicans). In 2004, a new team was formed called the Charlotte Bobcats, and they would eventually return to their Hornets name in 2014. They play their home games at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC. The Hornets have struggled in the postseason and hold the longest playoff drought in the NBA.
The Hornets currently look to bounce back from their 27-55 season last year. Heading into the 2023-24 season, head coach Steve Clifford looks toward players such as LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Mark Williams and JT Thor.
