For those of you who may be filled with as much anticipation as we are about the opening of the next phase of the new Fantasyland area of the Magic Kingdom, there is good news this morning. The Grand Opening of Fantasyland — as Walt Disney World is calling it — has been set for Dec. 6, 2012.
The big highlights unveiled during this phase will be Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid, the newly redesigned Ariel's Grotto, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Gaston's Tavern and Be Our Guest Restaurant.
We assume more details will be trickling out this month, including when advance dining reservations for Be Our Guest, the Beauty and the Beast-themed restaurant, will be available.
Additionally, previews of the new Fantasyland will begin Nov. 19, and passholders will have a chance at getting in to a special preview (details on this will be coming by email to passholders and on the passholder site).
