A Quick Guide to the Disney Park Hopper Plus Option Ticket

by Mommy Frog on October 1, 2019 431 Orlando
Don’t froget, no matter which ticket you choose, we can save you some green with our discount Disney tickets.

We frogs love nothing more than splashing around the pond on a sunny, summer day. Leap sometimes goes all out and creates his own impromptu water slide out of an oversized banana leaf, so Tad and Lily can splash about when it's too hot to do anything else. Of course, we still love visiting a real water park, especially in Orlando, where it's summer practically year-round. Even in winter, at least one of the Disney water parks is open and all of its the pools are heated. So no matter when you plan to visit, there is Disney water park fun waiting for you. The best thing is that adding on the Disney water parks is quite reasonable from a cost perspective. We've explained the details of the Disney Theme Park Base Ticket (formerly known as Magic Your Way) and the Disney Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Option. This post is looking at the Disney Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Option, which includes the water parks ... and more. (Disney's Water Park Fun & More Ticket has been discontinued.)

Disney Water Park Fun and More Ticket - Disney Theme Park Ticket with Water Park Plus Option - Disney's Typhoon Lagoon

What Does the Disney Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Plus Option Include?

Admissions & 'Plus Visits'

The Disney Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Option allows you admission to one or more of the four main parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom) for the number of days on your ticket. It also includes the same number of "Plus Visits," which are admissions to ...

Disney Water Park Fun and More Ticket - Disney Theme Park Ticket with Water Park Plus Option - Splash Mountain

  • Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park (subject to rehabilitation, seasonal and weather closures)
  • Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (subject to rehabilitation, seasonal and weather closures)
  • One round of golf at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course (tee time reservations required and subject to availability)
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (some events require additional admission, valid only on event days)
  • Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course (one mini golf visit per day before 4:00 p.m.; cannot be used on the same day as Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course)
  • Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (one mini golf visit per day before 4:00 p.m.; cannot be used on the same day as Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course)

Value of the Disney Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Plus Option

Disney Water Park Fun and More Ticket - Disney Theme Park Ticket with Water Park Plus Option - Disney's Typhoon Lagoon

As the Frog Family CFO, I’m always looking for the best value, so let’s do the math on the Disney water parks savings …

A current 5-Day Disney Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Option from Undercover Tourist is $484.44 (including tax)*. A single day adult Disney Water Park ticket is $73.49 (including tax). For five days hopping at the main theme parks and one day at a water park, your total cost would be $557.93. A 5-Day Disney Theme Park with Park Hopper Plus Option adult ticket from Undercover Tourist works out to $508.05* and includes five days hopping in the theme parks and five plus visits. Not only do you save more by choosing the 5-Day Disney Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Plus Option, but what's even better is that you get additional visits to the water parks or other activities. Now that’s a value!

*Prices are as of October 2019 and subject to change.

Lots of Options with the Disney Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Plus Option

Let’s look at the 6-Day Disney Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Plus Option. If you use the Plus Visits on separate days from park visits, you would have something different to do the entire 10-day period. You can also use a Plus Visit on the same day that you go to the main parks. You can also use more than one Plus Visit in a day. See? The possibilities go on and on.

Hi! We were wondering if the "fun visit" attractions allowed re-entry on a given day or if it charges a second visit. For example, if we go to Typhoon Lagoon in the AM, head to the resort room for lunch and a nap, can we go back to Typhoon Lagoon in the PM on the same visit?

Can we go to Magic Kingdom Day 1, Epcot Day 2, Animal Kingdom Day 3, Hollywood Studios Day 4 and go to Typhoon Lagoon Day 5? Will we be able to do other water park and more options Day 6, 7 and 8 because we purchased a 4 day park ticket?

Thank you for helping explain this! :)

Hi! Our family is staying 8 nights at a Disney resort. We bought a Magic Your Way package with hotel / theme parks/

If we use some of the water park visits during our 8 days at the resort, then check out of the resort and stay somewhere else, can we still use the rest of our water park visits as long as we are within the 14 days of first use--even if we are staying somewhere else in Orlando? In other words, would our magic bands still grant us access to the water parks, even if we aren't staying on Disney property anymore and are past the dates of the package we purchased? I would appreciate your help!

No, this wouldn't work. A 1 day hopper ticket will only give you one fun pass, used on Day 2. You would have to pay for your trip to the water park on Day 3 out of pocket.

Alternatively you could upgrade to a 2 day hopper, and then will be entitled to 2 fun passes.

Day 2 to 6 (5 days): main 4 theme parks, going twice to some of this main parks

Day 7: other Water Parks and other atraction.

Yes, it would. Keep in mind that DisneyQuest is set to close some time in 2016, and we just don't know when. That would the only potential upset to this plan.

I have a trip planned for this summer and I have purchased the 10 day park hopper with water park fun. We are staying at the Boardwalk Villas onsite but we arrive in Orlando 3 days before we check in to the BWV. Can we go to the water parks and/or go mini golfing before our check in day at the BWV?

Thank you!

Hi Chris,

DisneyQuest is set to close some time this year. Until then, it can be used as a "fun visit."

Disney told me this week that it can NOT be used as a fun visit. Only the 2 water parks, the 2 mini-golf course, espn wide world of sports, and the oak trail golf course. DisneyQuest tickets must be purchased separately. Ridiculous, because it's so outdated, and they make everyone going buy a ticket, even though I have no desire to play video games.

I think I understand now but just for my own piece of mind... Basically the water park and fun option has nothing to do with your theme park tickets correct? I bought a 6 day park hopper with wp&f option, we arrive on a Friday and leave the following Saturday. My plan was not to hit the theme parks until Sunday, so if I go to a water park on Saturday I still have a full 6 days of park hopping?

We have 5 day MMW tickets with park hopper and WPFM. Our husbands want to golf the day we take the kids to TL. Can they play that 9 hole course(oak trail) 2 times in one day for a full round of golf and use 2 of there fun visits in the same day?

Hi Gena,

Yes, if you want to visit the theme parks four days and then go to the water parks four days, a four day Water Park Fun & More ticket is all you need.

Hi, Just trying to fully understand. If I wanted to do three days in a park and got the park hopper plus water park, would I then be able to go to the water park on a separate day still have 2 other fun things to do? And use them on separate days aswell. We will be there for 8 days. Thanks

Hi - We have purchased the 4 day hopper and water fun ticket. My question is, can we 'start'/activate our ticket with a trip to a water park first, or do we have to go to a park first? Thinking of chilling in a water park rather than a theme park on the first day after travelling to Orlando...Many thanks..

Can you still go into 2 different parks in one day by using 2 of the park visits? In other words, we will be in Disney for 5 days and only want to "hop" on one of those days. Can we buy a 6-day Parks and More ticket and go into one park per day for 4 days, then use the remaining 2 park visits to go into 2 different parks on the last day?

Feb 12, 2016 at 11:21 a.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Laurie,

No, you would not be able to do this with a Magic Your Way with Water Park Fun & More Ticket. For what you are describing, you would need the Park Hopper with Water Park Fun & More option.

Hello!

Thank you for such a wonderful website! I have read through all the comments and didn't see this one answered. We are planning on coming to WDW in September. We always say we are going to go to the water park but we never do. We are planning on getting a 10 day pass with no park hopper. If we added the water park and more ticket can we go to the water park in the morning and into the MK (or any other one) in the afternoon? Or can you only do that if you have a hopper pass?

Thank you!

Hi Tonya,

You can do what you are describing with Magic Your Way. Park Hopper would only be needed if you wanted to visit more than one theme park each day.

Do people go to the waterparks in Feb? 3 out of 8 of our party wants to go to play golf. Since Disney quest isn't part of this anymore, I am trying to decide if it is worth it to pay the "and more." But with out the waterparks I am not sure it is worth it. Now the Disney website is vague it says that golf is form $20-40 for adults. So if they did two rounds of golf then it could be any where from $40-80 per person. One is a twelve year old so I don't know if he is an adult by the golf course standards. Thanks,

Hi Ess,

Yes, people go to the waterparks in February. The pools and water are heated. For most tadpoles, this is fine, but for me, I like the pond to be a little warmer ;) The 12-year-old would be considered an adult.

So sorry... I want to make sure I am not overspending. We have been to WDW a few times, so we really just want to sit back and relax this time around. We will be there June 11-June 18 with a 4-day park hopper, staying at Caribbean Beach. Would it make more sense if we just bought the water park ticket since we probably won't go mini golfing or anything else and we will probably stay at the parks or go back and rest in our own pool?

Thanks for your help!

Adding the WP&M option to a park hopper is actually cheaper than a 1-day water park ticket.

Reply
Nov 24, 2015 at 7:32 a.m. FrogBlog Says...

Hi Erica,

That really depends on how many days you want to visit the water park. Often, it's still cheaper to buy the Water Park Fun & More ticket. You definitely get more value our of the WPF&M if you will use the fun visits even a couple of times.
