Hi there! Welcome to our weekly roundup of the most interesting theme park news around the Walt Disney World Resort, the Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando and other theme parks.
- Hoppy New Year, frog friends! We're kicking off our first theme park news roundup of the year with the release of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts 2024 foodie guide. We can't wait to welcome back returning favorites, such as the Deconstructed BLT, and try out new Instagram-worthy dishes including the Neapolitan Dessert Trio. And just look at this new Figment popcorn bucket — she's a beaut! EPCOT International Festival of the Arts begins next week, Jan. 12, 2024, so get your paintbrushes (and taste buds) ready.
- The Disneyland Magic Key pass program will restart new sales starting Jan. 10 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT), and all four pass types will become available. The four tiers include the Inspire Key (fewest blockout dates), Believe Key, Enchant Key and Inspire Key (only available to Southern California residents).
- SeaWorld Orlando is celebrating Three Kings' Day this weekend from Jan. 5-7, 2024, with live entertainment and festive foods. Honoring Latin holiday traditions, there will be a storyteller narrating the tale of the Three Kings in a live nativity scene, plus musical street acts and mouthwatering treats such as empanadas, tostones and coquito. End the day with the O' Wondrous Night show that features over 30 carols, life-size puppets and live animals.
- This upcoming weekend is the last chance for tadpoles to ride Huff & Puff at Knott's Berry Farm before it closes forever as part of the latest Camp Snoopy renovations (which will be completed by Memorial Day weekend later this year). To honor the ride's last day, riders can earn a Huff & Puff Last Day merit badge on Sunday, Jan. 7. This will be the first merit badge in a series of limited-edition badges that guests can earn each month leading up to the Camp Snoopy reopening.
- Planning a Walt Disney World Resort trip in 2024? Well, you're in luck! Undercover Tourist is currently offering a frogtastic deal on Walt Disney World Resort hotel bookings — save up to 40% on select stays between Jan. 9 and Oct. 3, 2024! Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservations are fully refundable when canceled at least 5 days prior to check-in.
- But that's not all! Undercover Tourist has a few hoppin' cruise deals going on right now. For a limited time, you can get a free in-room decor set for all Disney Cruise Line bookings through Undercover Tourist, as well as 50% off your deposit where applicable. If you're looking at taking a cruise with Royal Caribbean, we have a Buy One Guest, Get Second Guest 60% Off deal on select sailings, as well as a Kids Sail Free offer (kids 12 and under sale free on select sailings 3 nights or longer).
That's it for theme park news this week.
Hoppy planning!
