Wahoo! Summer is here and the livin’ is easy. I don’t know about you, but I love summer. Laid back days, late nights, summer vacations and summer foods are here. There’s no better place to enjoy all these summer favorites than Disney World. Today, we’re taking a look at one of my favorite summer dining treats … the ooeey gooey irresistible deliciousness of S’mores! Let’s take a look at my favorite places to get this American favorite at Disney World. Grab a seat around the fire, we’re going to get things heated up!
Chip n’ Dale's Campfire Fire Singalong at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort
BYOS (Bring Your Own S’mores) or buy a S’mores kit at the Meadow Training Post (located at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort) for a fun and free night of campfires and sweet songs with Chip n’ Dale. That’s right, around 8 p.m. each evening, you can saddle up with your favorite pals and enjoy some good old-fashioned fun. Prepare for a free night of fun with your little ones (no kidding … even if you aren’t staying at Fort Wilderness, and no theme park tickets needed)! Chip n’ Dale will sing some campfire classics with you and even sign autographs and take pictures after the show is over. Cute friends or Mickey and a sweet snack on the cheap … what could be better?
S’more in a cup at Starbucks
I know you can find Starbucks just around every corner, but I say when at Disney, enjoy a Disneyfide — technical term friends — Starbucks cup of joe! Why not enjoy a delicious take on S’mores as you walk through the parks? What could go better with summer than an icy cold take on this campfire concoction? That’s right, enjoy a delightfully chilling s’mores frappuccino courtesy of the in-park Starbuck stops!
S’more Cupcake
What’s not to love about a cupcake? Cakey goodness covered in a literal mountain of frosting! There’s very little that I’ll turn my nose up to in the world of cupcakes. You can bet the s’more cupcake selection throughout the parks is one to take you back to the days of summer camp. Stop by one of the various bakery counters or find a few specialty offerings in select dining spots. The best I hear is available at the Roaring Fork in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, complete with a moist, graham cracker crust, a chocolate surprise in the center, finished off with a gooey marshmallow frosting, and toasted to perfection with a piece of chocolate adorning the top. This makes for a new and interesting taste on this beloved summer treat.
I hope I’ve given you a good list of go to options to help you get “s’more” out of your time in the parks this summer. What are your favorite summer food memories that you keep coming back to Disney year after year? Watermelon, slushies, hotdogs, what’s your poison? Share with us in the comment section below.
As always, thanks for reading and joining the conversation below! Until next time, keep it magical!
